Good Morning!

Yesterday was a productive gardening day. We planted all of our starts and all of our seeds except for corn. With any luck, we will get the corn planted today. The girls had fun playing in the garden and helped plant a few rows of seeds. Adria had a little more focus in this area while Alina played in the dirt with tractors and eventually made a mud pit. It feels nice to have most of the garden planted, now we just need to stay on top of the weeds.

Looks like it’s going to be a warm, sunny day here. Enjoy the day!

Some of my fondest memories are of spending time in the garden with my folks and grand folks. Wholesome activity for the entire family. And Alina playing in the dirt with tractors. I remember pretending I was plowing my little fields with toy tractors and putting sticks in the corners for posts and grandma's crochet thread for wire. Marigold seed and four-o-clock seed, were my crops back then. Then when I was older, I spent the time actually planting food crops with the adults. Peas and potatoes were my pick and sweet corn. :) Mixing up more bread today. Where does the time go. Have a lovely day!

The kids playing in the garden makes me so happy too. I had a couple little patches as a kid and remember planting gourds, strawberries, and sunflowers. Still some of my favorites today, although the gourds never do seem to grow. As we were planting this weekend, I had a couple extra bean seeds and told the girls to plant them in a secret place. Both the girls remember where they planted their seeds and have been keeping them watered.

I wish I knew where the time goes also. The more I want it to slow down, the faster it seems to tick away.

Have a great bread-making day!
