Baked my first batter bread today and I am hooked. So easy - so good. Had slice with olive oil & garlic for my supper and a glass of Merlot. Bread, olive oil, and wine what else is needed. Maybe cheese - next time I'll add cheese.

First I must say I like the weight of the filled Pyrex bowls. On most days I have little strength in my wrist and hands so I had worried a little bit about them being too heavy for me but not to worry.

Second I got a very good crust and now I know why Ashley likes baking batter bread in the Pyrex bowls.

I deal with MS fatigue so I will probably do more batter breads than ones that have to be kneaded. I will try kneading but it will be few and far in-between.

The batter bread had a mild and pleasing sourdough taste.

Lord put your arms around my shoulders and your hand over my mouth.

Oh, how wonderful! I'm so glad that your first batter breads were a success. Your meal of bread, olive oil, and Merlot sounds great, but I agree that some cheese would round it out quite nicely.

Dinner tonight for me is also batter bread. It's more of the sprouted loaf I made into a muffaletta this week. The sandwich was huge, so my family has been chipping away at it for the last couple days. I'm currently wading through too many pictures on my computer, but once I get it them all sorted out, I'll post a picture of it to share.
